Getting to know Treveal
Q: Most significant passage to you and why?
A: “Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray. My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.” – Psalm 5:1-3 KJV
I recall the day I first read this passage and how it brought me to tears instantly; how I instantly connected to it as if I returned home from a long trip and was now resting in the comfort of familiar surroundings!
It was as if the page of the Bible was a mirror and was being held to my heart; a perfect reflection of my unvarying meditation and daily desire.
Prayer has become the passion and pursuit of my life; prayer reminds me of my absolute dependency on God (for everything) and the confidence I have in Him to endlessly endow me with His “everlasting love”. This passage exemplifies these thoughts and so so much more.
Q: What you feel you are called to rectify in the world?
A: While ultimately my calling in life has a much broader scope, I believe re-establishing the proper perspective and priority of prayer in the life of man is at the core of all that I’m called to rectify! I believe that prayer is paramount and should be seen as such by all mankind, however in today’s culture there is little evidence of this!
As Paul said “I will therefore that men pray every where lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting”. – 1st Timothy 2:8 KJV
God has given me an unyielding fervor for the practice and priority of prayer in my personal life as well as to see this demonstrated in the lives of all man. With all my heart I feel I’ve been appointed by God to help rectify the honor and primacy of prayer in the hearts of all man.
Q: Favorite Sports Team?
A: Am I from Texas?, NO. Have I ever been to Texas?, NO. Do I plan to ever live in Texas?, NO. But should that be an excuse to deny greatness – “How ‘bout Them Cowboys”! Yes, THE DALLAS COWBOYS!!! I’m a (Tru – Blu) Cowboy, full grown, till Jesus call me home – Amen!
I sometimes even ask myself, “is there any other team worthy of my support”? And my answer is always – NO, LOL!
